Reports to: Founder & DirectorSpook is a craft-led luxury event catering company based in London, delivering exceptional, seasonal food and drink with personable service for over a decade. Our clients include Prada, Miu Miu, Gagosian, Loewe, Apple and Sotheby's. Archway is our neighbourhood Italian restaurant in Battersea, listed in the Michelin Guide, with a quarterly changing menu that champions the seasons and the finest produce. The OpportunitySpook is at a turning point. Over the next few years we're investing in the infrastructure that will define the business for the next decade: a new warehouse, our own equipment and serviceware, and our own trained teams — bringing in-house what we've historically hired in.This isn't a role about keeping the wheels turning; it's about designing how this business operates at a bigger scale, and then building it. You'll inherit a strong, well-run operation and a founder who wants a genuine partner in shaping what comes next. We're looking for someone with real operational ambition — a brilliant eye, exceptional organisation, and a love of the luxury market. Someone who thinks in systems and margin as naturally as they think in linen and glassware, who holds a team to Michelin standards without ever losing warmth. The RoleYou'll own the operation across Spook and Archway — event delivery, the warehouse and logistics function, restaurant line management, gross profit performance, compliance and the operational team. Reporting directly to the Founder, you'll be the operational voice at the top table.Building the operation: Lead the warehouse move, from location through to fit-out and operating model. Select and implement stock and inventory systems. Build the case for, and lead, phased investment in our own equipment and serviceware. Design and roll out an in-house staffing model.Event operations: Own delivery of every Spook event post-contract, to a standard that consistently exceeds client expectation. Lead the operations team, own event budgets and cost control, and build supplier and venue relationships on quality, not just price.Archway: Line manage the General Manager. Drive sales, profitability and guest experience. Own menu costing, stock and labour control, and be instrumental in delivering the restaurant's three-year plan.Commercial ownership: Own and report on GP and overhead performance across both businesses, identify and deliver margin improvement, and build the business cases behind investment decisions.Team & standards: Recruit, develop and hold your team to a high standard with generosity and no ambiguity. Maintain full compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements, including our ISO 14001 and ISO 20121 accreditations. What you'll bringSenior operational leadership in luxury hospitality, hotels, events or high-end restaurantsA track record of building something, not just running it — systems implemented, sites opened or moved, teams brought in-house, margin improvedStrong commercial and financial acumen — comfortable owning GP, budgets, forecasting and investment casesLeadership that inspires and holds to account in equal measureWhat we offerA competitive salary and end-of-year bonus, flexible working on Mondays and Fridays, a nursery workplace scheme, daily lunch, 50% off at Archway, and the chance to shape a prestigious luxury brand as it grows.📍 Based in Battersea, London.
