Head of OperationsAbOriginal ProductionsLagos, Nigeria · Primarily on-siteFull-time₦900,000–₦1,200,000 gross per monthAbout the RoleAbOriginal Productions is looking for an experienced, hands-on Head of Operations to help build and lead the operating systems supporting the company’s next phase of growth.As AbOriginal evolves, we are looking for someone who can translate priorities into coordinated execution, improve systems and accountability, and help build an organisation that operates effectively without unnecessary bureaucracy.This is a company-wide operations role. It is not simply an administrative, production-management or physical studio-operations position.The successful candidate will be a practical builder-operator: someone who enjoys creating order, solving problems, coordinating multiple moving parts and making organisations work better.ResponsibilitiesThe Head of Operations will be responsible for:translating company priorities and management decisions into clear execution plans, responsibilities and timelines;coordinating execution across multiple projects and functions;building and improving operating systems, workflows and processes;maintaining accountability for deadlines, deliverables and organisational commitments;working closely with Finance on operational budgets, resource planning, procurement and budget discipline;managing key vendors and operational relationships;coordinating organisational capacity and operational resources;providing leadership and support across operational and administrative functions;identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks;establishing practical reporting and meeting rhythms; andensuring that routine operational issues are resolved at the appropriate level, with only matters requiring Founder judgement or authority escalated.The Head of Operations will maintain operational oversight across AbOriginal’s portfolio without replacing project-specific producers, production managers or other specialist leads.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone with strong evidence of successfully coordinating people, projects, systems and resources in a demanding professional environment.The ideal candidate will have:strong operations and project-management capability;experience coordinating multiple concurrent workstreams;demonstrated ability to build systems and improve processes;strong people, stakeholder and vendor-management skills;sound financial and budget literacy;excellent organisational judgement and problem-solving ability;high ownership and accountability;strong written and verbal communication;calmness and sound judgement under pressure; andthe ability to introduce structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.Experience in media, entertainment or the creative industries is useful but not essential.Strong candidates may come from professional services, consulting, media and entertainment, events and hospitality, consumer businesses or other project-intensive organisations.Experience working in, or helping professionalise, a founder-led or entrepreneurial organisation would be particularly valuable.This is a senior, hands-on management role rather than a purely strategic executive position.
