Head of OperationsPermanentLocation: Alsager, Cheshire (5 days a week onsite)Skills: Operations Management, Warehouse Management, Budget Management, P&L, KPIs, Continuous Improvement, People ManagementGreenworld Technologies is an established technology services business supporting organisations with the secure management, processing, refurbishment and lifecycle management of IT assets.With a strong customer base across both public and private sectors, Greenworld is now looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead its operational function and drive improvements across performance, productivity, people and process.This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for warehouse and onsite operational performance, financial and KPI management, continuous improvement and service delivery.The roleThe Head of Operations will take ownership of day-to-day operational performance across the business, with a particular focus on improving efficiency, strengthening processes and ensuring resources are used effectively.There is significant opportunity to review how the operation currently works and introduce greater structure, consistency and accountability.Key responsibilities will include:Leading day-to-day warehouse and onsite operational performanceLeading the senior leadership team against agreed financial, service and performance targetsImproving warehouse workflows, stock movement and space utilisationIdentifying opportunities to increase productivity, reduce cost and improve profitabilityDeveloping and documenting operational processesDefining and managing operational KPIsPreparing and managing operational budgetsManaging operating costs and resource planningLeading continuous improvement and operational change projectsManaging, developing and motivating operational teamsDriving performance management and accountabilityWorking closely with the Managing Director on operational strategy and capital investmentEnsuring appropriate standards across quality, security, health & safety and environmental complianceThe formal remit includes operational budgets, KPI ownership, cost management, people leadership and the delivery of projects designed to improve efficiency and client service.What we’re looking forGreenworld is looking for an experienced operational leader who is comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment and enjoys improving how a business operates.You’re likely to have:Strong Operations Manager, Head of Operations or General Management experienceExperience within warehouse, logistics, distribution, manufacturing or another service-led operational environmentExperience managing teams of up to approximately 50 peopleStrong budget and P&L management experienceExperience developing and managing KPIsA proven track record of process and continuous improvementStrong commercial judgement and confidence making data-led decisionsExcellent people-management and performance-management skillsStrong stakeholder-management and influencing skillsThe confidence to challenge existing processes and introduce new ways of workingA practical, structured and analytical approach to problem solvingThe specification particularly emphasises leadership, financial performance, KPI management, continuous improvement, commercial awareness and stakeholder management.This is an excellent opportunity to join Greenworld Technologies at a point where there is real scope to influence how the business operates, improve commercial performance and support its future growth.
