Head of Operations - Commercial Plantation (Calabar)

JOB TITLE: HEAD OF OPERATIONS - COMMERCIAL PLANTATION (CALABAR)Location: Calabar, Cross River State (On-site)Employment Type: Full-timeIndustry: Agribusiness Our client, a newly acquired large-scale commercial plantation in Calabar, is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead all farm operations and drive profitability.This is for a hands-on leader who has run a commercial farm before and can deliver results.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee end-to-end plantation operations: land preparation, planting, crop management, harvesting, and post-harvest.- Develop and implement annual operational plans, budgets, and KPIs.- Lead, train and manage farm supervisors, field workers, and admin staff.- Ensure best agronomic practices to maximize yield and quality.- Manage farm machinery, inputs, inventory, and cost control.- Ensure farm security, HSE compliance, and proper record keeping.- Provide weekly/monthly performance and financial reports to management.- Manage relationships with suppliers, off-takers, and host communities.REQUIREMENTS:- BSc/HND in Agriculture, Agronomy, Farm Management, or related field. MSc is an advantage.- 7+ years experience in commercial farm/plantation management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.- Proven experience with plantation crops (Oil Palm, Cocoa, Cassava, Rubber, etc.).- Strong knowledge of tropical agronomy, mechanization, and farm P&L.- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.- High integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.HOW TO APPLY:Kindly send your resume to cv@talentscout.ng using the job title as the subject of the mail.
