Visa and health insurance provided.Reports to: Head of MarketingThe opportunitySamuel Leeds is one of the UK's best-known property education brands. We run webinars, live events and a large Academy community, backed by a big organic audience across YouTube, Instagram and podcasts.Paid advertising is already a major growth engine for us, with a seven-figure annual budget across Meta and YouTube/Google. It works. But we've reached the point where the easy wins are gone. Warm audiences are well covered, and growth now depends on winning cold audiences profitably, producing sharper creative at higher volume and knowing exactly what each pound of spend delivers.Your job is simple to describe and hard to do: get us as many new customers from paid ads as possible, without wasting money. Every customer you bring in should pay for themselves. This is a hands-on role. You'll be in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads every day, building, launching and optimising the campaigns yourself, and you'll be the creative lead behind every ad, from the idea and script to directing the shoot. You'll own paid acquisition end to end: spend, creative direction, funnels and measurement. You'll work in the office alongside the founders and our Head of Organic Content, so ideas become tested ads in days, not weeks. What you'll ownPaid media and budget. You'll build and run all paid campaigns across Meta, YouTube/Google and any new channels worth testing. You'll decide where each pound goes, when to scale and when to pull back, and you'll plan spend around our seasonal peaks and quieter periods.Creative, from idea to live ad. You'll come up with the ad concepts, write the scripts, hooks and copy, and be on set with Samuel and the founders when we film, directing what we need to capture. Our video and design team handle the filming, editing and ad images. You tell them what to make, and you own whether it works. You'll run structured tests, cut losers fast and scale winners.Funnels and conversion. You'll own the paid journey from ad to landing page, webinar registration and purchase. You'll improve pages, flows and follow-up, working with our tech team on larger builds.Tracking and measurement. You'll build clean UTM, pixel and Conversions API setups. You'll capture first-touch as well as last-touch data, separate prospecting from retargeting, and run controlled tests so we know what spend actually adds, not just what the platform claims.Reporting. You'll give leadership a clear weekly view of spend, new customers, cost per customer, what's working and what you're changing. How you'll be measuredThe number of new customers generated.Cost per new customer, kept within agreed limits.Growth compared with the same period last year. The quality and reliability of your tracking and reporting. We're not interested in platform-reported ROAS or vanity metrics. We care about real customers at a sensible cost.Who we're looking forEssential experience4+ years in performance marketing, with personal ownership of significant ad budgets (ideally £500k+ a year) where you set the strategy, not just executed it.Proven experience in direct-response businesses: info products, education, coaching, webinars, events, memberships or similar.A track record of scaling spend into cold audiences profitably, and recognising when a channel is saturating.Expert, current, hands-on skill in Meta Ads Manager and Google/YouTube Ads. You build and run campaigns yourself.Strong creative instincts: you've led high-volume creative testing and can brief content teams on hooks, angles and formats.Solid tracking skills across GA4, Google Tag Manager, pixels, Conversions API, UTMs and CRM integration.Strongly preferredExperience building or improving webinar funnels, landing pages and follow-up sequences.Familiarity with tools such as Keap, ManyChat, WooCommerce, ClickFunnels or similar. An understanding of incrementality testing and blended metrics, and why last-click attribution misleads.Working knowledge of advertising rules (ASA/CAP code and platform policies) for education and finance-adjacent offers.Experience in UK markets. The kind of person you areCommercially sharp: you think in customers, costs and profit, not clicks.Data-driven but creative, equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and a creative brief.Confident enough to push back on founders when the numbers say so.Fast-moving and hands-on.Motivated by earning more when you deliver more. This role probably isn't for you if you've moved into managing people or agencies and no longer build campaigns yourself, you've only managed budgets where someone else set the strategy, you judge success by platform ROAS, you prefer strategy decks to being in the accounts, or you want to work remotely.Your first 90 daysAudit all ad accounts, spend history, creative performance, funnels and tracking.Fix measurement gaps so every sale can be traced to its source.Build a clear weekly reporting dashboard.Launch and manage campaigns on one founder brand account, and prove you can match or beat current performance.Set up a regular creative testing rhythm with the content team.Present a paid acquisition plan covering channel mix, seasonal budget and testing roadmap. What to bring to interviewBe ready to show real evidence of your work:Account results. Screenshots or exports from ad accounts you've personally managed, showing spend, customers or conversions, and cost per acquisition over time. Anonymise client names if needed.A scaling story. A campaign or account you grew, with the numbers before and after, what you changed, and what went wrong along the way.Creative examples. Five to ten ads you conceived or briefed, with the results and why you think they worked.A funnel you built or improved. Walk us through the journey, the conversion rates before and after, and your changes.Your tracking approach. How you'd set up measurement for a webinar-led business, and how you'd tell whether extra spend is actually adding customers. How to apply: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a practical assessment, followed by an interview.
