Team members are encouraged to contribute to continuous improvement and patient-centered care, helping to “power your health” through excellence in healthcare delivery.Role Description The Head of Pharmacy is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for leading and managing all pharmacy operations within Avron Hospitals PVT. LTD. This role oversees medication management processes, including procurement, storage, dispensing, and inventory control, while ensuring adherence to regulatory, safety, and quality standards. The Head of Pharmacy develops and implements pharmacy policies, supervises pharmacy staff, and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, monitoring drug utilization, managing pharmacy budgets, and introducing best practices and technology to improve efficiency. The role also involves strategic planning for pharmacy services, staff training and development, and participation in hospital committees focused on clinical governance and patient safety.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmacy, with a solid understanding of clinical Medicine as it relates to medication use and patient care.Candidates should possess skills in Pharmacy Benefit Management to optimize formulary design, cost-effective medication use, and coordination with insurance or reimbursement processes.Candidates should possess capabilities in Strategic Planning to design, implement, and evaluate long-term pharmacy initiatives and service improvements.Relevant qualifications include a degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or M.Pharm) from an accredited institution, with appropriate professional registration/licensure as required by local regulations.Demonstrated experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy leadership, including team management, workflow optimization, and policy development, is highly beneficial.Strong knowledge of drug regulations, quality assurance, medication safety standards, and hospital accreditation requirements is preferred.Effective communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions in a fast-paced clinical environment, are important.
