Premio Living operates with a unified vision to offer complete living solutions to its clients.Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Head – Procurement & Supply Chain to build and lead Premio Living’s procurement and supply-chain function as the business scales its manufacturing and turnkey interiors operations.The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, procurement, inventory planning, material availability, cost optimisation, and supply-chain processes across furniture manufacturing and interior projects.The ideal candidate should have strong experience in furniture, modular manufacturing, interiors, building materials, or a related manufacturing environment, with the ability to build systems rather than simply manage day-to-day purchasing.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic ProcurementDevelop and implement the overall procurement strategy aligned with business and manufacturing requirements.Establish category-wise sourcing strategies for boards, laminates, hardware, stone, glass, upholstery, metals, finishes, accessories and other materials.Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties and commercial agreements.Drive cost optimisation without compromising quality or delivery timelines.Develop alternate sources for critical materials to reduce supply risk.2. Vendor Development & ManagementIdentify, evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers and manufacturers.Build a strong and competitive vendor network across India.Establish vendor performance metrics covering cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness and consistency.Develop strategic supplier relationships for key categories.Conduct periodic vendor reviews and corrective-action programs.3. Supply Chain PlanningEstablish material planning processes linked to sales, design, production and project execution.Ensure timely availability of materials for factory production and interior projects.Develop procurement lead-time and reorder-level systems.Coordinate closely with production and project teams to prevent material shortages and project delays.Improve overall material flow from supplier to factory/project site.4. Inventory ManagementEstablish inventory norms and controls for raw materials, hardware, consumables and finished/semi-finished goods.Reduce excess and obsolete inventory.Improve inventory turnover and working-capital efficiency.Introduce systematic stock monitoring and forecasting mechanisms.Ensure appropriate safety stock for critical and long-lead materials.5. Cost & Commercial ManagementMaintain category-wise cost benchmarks and procurement MIS.Track price movements and identify opportunities for strategic buying.Develop annual procurement budgets and savings targets.Analyse total landed cost rather than purchase price alone.Ensure procurement decisions support project-level and manufacturing margins.6. Process & SystemsBuild and implement SOPs for:Purchase requisitionsVendor comparisonPurchase ordersVendor approvalsMaterial receiptQuality checksInvoice reconciliationReturns/rejectionsEstablish approval matrices and procurement controls.Drive ERP/system adoption for procurement and inventory management.Develop procurement dashboards and management reports.7. Cross-functional CollaborationWork closely with:Production & Factory OperationsDesignProject ExecutionSalesFinanceQualityWarehouseManagementEnsure procurement decisions are aligned with design specifications, production requirements, project timelines and commercial objectives.Key performance IndicatorsProcurement savings and cost optimisationMaterial availability / production stoppages due to material shortagesVendor on-time deliveryVendor quality performanceInventory turnoverWorking capital tied up in inventoryPurchase price varianceProcurement lead-time reductionAlternate vendor developmentPurchase-order complianceReduction in excess/obsolete inventoryCandidate Profile14–20 years of experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Supply Chain.Experience in furniture, modular manufacturing, interiors, construction materials, building products or similar manufacturing industries preferred.Strong understanding of materials such as plywood/MDF/particle board, laminates, hardware, stone, glass, metal, upholstery, finishes and accessories is an advantage.Proven experience in vendor development and commercial negotiations.Strong understanding of inventory planning and supply-chain processes.Comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.Experience implementing ERP/procurement systems will be an advantage.Should be comfortable building processes and teams from the ground up.What we are looking forWe are looking for someone who can move the organisation from transactional purchasing to a structured, strategic procurement and supply-chain function.The person should be equally comfortable negotiating with a supplier, analysing a BOM, developing a new vendor, reviewing inventory, and creating systems that can scale with the business.
