Head of Procurement

We are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to lead the end-to-end procurement function for a leading FMCG manufacturing company in Zimbabwe.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies across raw materials, packaging, and indirect categories.Lead strategic sourcing, supplier development, contract negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.Manage procurement of food ingredients, edible oils, packaging materials, home & personal care raw materials, and indirect spend.Ensure uninterrupted supply through effective planning, international sourcing, import management, and supplier risk mitigation.Drive procurement governance, ERP utilization, spend analytics, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, QA, R&D, Finance, and Supply Chain.Lead and develop the procurement team while delivering measurable savings and operational excellence.Candidate Profile10–12+ years of procurement experience, including 4–5 years in a Head/Senior Procurement leadership role.Mandatory experience in FMCG manufacturing.Strong experience procuring products/categories related to:Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Sauces & Condiments, Edible Oils, Margarine, Soaps, Detergents, Home & Personal Care ProductsExpertise in procurement of food ingredients, packaging materials (PET, HDPE, glass, laminates, cartons, flexible packaging), and international sourcing/imports.Experience working with companies having an annual turnover of ₹500–600 Cr or above.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
