HEAD OF PROCUREMENT, NORTH AMERICAAI INFRASTRUCTURE | BAY AREA$175,000-$300,000 + EQUITYWeEngage has been retained by a European neocloud with international reach to appoint its first Head of Procurement for North America.This is not a role to inherit a mature function.You will establish the regional procurement organisation, build the supplier ecosystem and take commercial ownership of the infrastructure required to support an accelerating US data-centre footprint.Reporting to the Global VP of Procurement, the mandate spans:GPU compute, servers, storage and networkingData-centre infrastructure and regional CapExOEM, ODM and contract-manufacturing partnershipsSupplier selection, qualification and governancePricing, capacity reservations and commercial negotiationsSupply assurance, cost control and delivery performanceRecruitment and leadership of the US procurement teamClose partnership with engineering, operations, finance and executive leadershipWe are looking for an established procurement or supply-chain leader from AI infrastructure, hyperscale cloud, data centres, enterprise hardware or another mission-critical technology environment.You should bring:Significant ownership of complex hardware or infrastructure spendStrong relationships across the US supplier marketEstablished OEM/ODM and manufacturing connections across Taiwan and Greater ChinaExperience negotiating strategic agreements at executive levelEvidence of building teams, processes and supplier strategies from the ground upThe ability to operate strategically while remaining close to executionProfessional fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is essentialThe strongest candidates are likely operating at Director, Senior Director or Head-of level.
