Head of Product

The OpportunityAs Head of Product at Functionize, you will own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution as we establish Functionize as the self-serve validation layer for AI-written software.This is a hands-on product leadership role for someone with deep technical product experience. You’ll operate at the intersection of product, engineering, AI, and go-to-market, working closely with R&D to make complex technical decisions while ensuring we build products developers adopt, trust, and keep using.You will lead Functionize from early access through general availability (GA) and scale in 2027, while shaping how the product becomes an essential part of the developer workflow, from ticketing and code creation through review, deployment, and production monitoring.You’ll also lead our Product team, while remaining deeply involved in product definition, prioritization, and execution.What You’ll OwnOwn and execute Functionize's product strategy and roadmap as the self-serve validation layer for AI-written software. Partner with R&D and GTM to move this from early access to GA and scale in 2027.Integrate Functionize as an essential component of the developer workflow from ticketing to code to review to pre/post-deployment to production monitoring.Define and own product KPIs to measure product performance, user impact, and business outcomes.Lead and develop the Product team, ensuring clear product definition, prioritization, and delivery.What We’re Looking For7+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years of recent experience with AI developer tooling; either products that generate code or products that monitor, test, review, or validate software.Experience building and scaling a self-serve or product-led product for technical users.3+ years of people management experience with a track record of leading and developing Product team members.Strong technical depth and the ability to work closely with engineering on complex product and system decisions.Highly analytical, with a track record of using data to inform product decisions while also exercising strong judgment when data is incomplete or unavailable.Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and translate strategy into clear priorities and execution.Bonus PointsPrevious experience as a Head of Product or reporting directly to a CEO or executive team.Software engineering background and firsthand understanding of developer workflows and pain points.Experience across developer tools, AI coding, testing, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, or related technical platforms.
