Head of Project Management – Data CentersAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Head of Project Management to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of our data center construction and infrastructure programs. This individual will build and manage a high-performing project management organization responsible for delivering mission-critical facilities on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge of data center design and construction with proven leadership in managing large, complex, multi-site capital projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementBuild, mentor, and lead a team of project managers overseeing multiple concurrent data center builds (new construction, expansions, and retrofits).Establish project management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks across the portfolio.Recruit, develop, and retain top PM talent; set performance goals and conduct regular reviews.Program & Project DeliveryOwn end-to-end delivery of data center projects from site selection/due diligence through design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and handover.Develop and maintain master schedules, budgets, and resource plans across all active projects.Identify and mitigate project risks (supply chain, labor, permitting, weather, utility interconnection) before they impact timelines.Ensure projects meet uptime, safety, security, and sustainability requirements specific to mission-critical facilities.Stakeholder & Vendor ManagementServe as primary point of escalation for internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Real Estate, Finance, Legal) and external partners (GCs, architects, MEP engineers, equipment vendors).Manage relationships with general contractors, design consultants, and long-lead equipment suppliers (generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling systems).Negotiate and manage contracts, change orders, and claims in partnership with Procurement and Legal.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's preferred).12+ years of project/program management experience in construction or infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused specifically on data center or other mission-critical facility delivery.5+ years in a leadership role managing teams of project managers across multiple simultaneous projects.Proven track record delivering large-scale capital projects ($50M+ individually or in aggregate) on time and on budget.Strong understanding of data center design and systems: power distribution, UPS, generators, cooling (CRAC/CRAH, chilled water, liquid cooling), fire suppression, and physical security.Experience managing general contractors, design-build teams, and MEP/critical infrastructure vendors.Preferred QualificationsPMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data center programs.Familiarity with commissioning processes (Cx/IST) for mission-critical facilities.Experience working across multiple geographies/jurisdictions and navigating local permitting and utility processes.Knowledge of sustainability standards relevant to data centers (LEED, PUE optimization, renewable energy integration).
