This is where you come in.We've built the foundations of our Project Management Office. The framework exists. Now we need the right leader to embed it, bring the business with them, and make disciplined project delivery part of how we work - not just how we report.This isn't a blank-sheet role. But in many ways, embedding is harder than building. You'll need to be a credible, visible champion for the PMO, someone who can educate, influence and inspire as much as they can govern and report. If you're a strong communicator who can think creatively and bring people with you, this role was written for you.What we're looking for:Significant experience leading a PMO, portfolio management or programme governance function, ideally in financial services, wealth management or fintechA proven track record of embedding and improving a PMO operating model in a complex, multi-programme environmentOutstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills; you can bring sceptics on board and make governance feel like an enabler, not a burdenStrong analytical and reporting skills; you can synthesise messy delivery data into sharp executive insightExperience across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologiesCommercial mindset; you understand change funding, ROI and benefits realisationExperience of M&A integration programmes is a strong advantageWhat you'll be doing:Embedding the PMO operating model, delivery standards and project governance frameworks across the organisation (including our enterprise PPM platform, Triskell)Educating and upskilling the business on project management disciplines, ways of working and governance expectationsOwning portfolio-level governance, RAG status reporting, risk and issue management, and benefits realisation trackingManaging cross-programme dependencies and resource capacity planning across the change portfolioProducing Board and ExCo-level programme reporting that drives decisionsLeading and developing the PMO team and setting the standard for project delivery across the organisationWhat's in it for you:Hybrid working, combining home and office-based (London & Leicester) collaboration34.5-hour working week and 25 days' holiday, increasing with servicePension scheme with 5% employer contributionHealth cash plan, life assurance and group income protectionOngoing training, development and real long-term career opportunities within an ambitious and supportive cultureMattioli Woods is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds.
