With our headquarters in London and additional locations in Düsseldorf and Philadelphia, we provide targeted support to our clients and candidates across EMEA, APAC, and the USA.We have partnered with a global market-leading distribution and solutions business operating across multiple international markets, with a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the energy transition.As part of a European strategic sourcing organisation, they are seeking a Head of Strategic Purchasing to lead sourcing activities within the Renewable Energy sector while driving Procurement Excellence across the wider organisation.This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for developing and executing a European category strategy for renewable energy products, negotiating strategic supplier agreements, building long-term supplier partnerships, and creating scalable commercial frameworks that support continued growth. The successful candidate will also champion procurement maturity by designing and implementing best-in-class procurement tools, processes, and governance frameworks across the business.The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and procurement transformation within a complex international environment. Exposure to renewable energy, photovoltaics, electrical products, or adjacent industrial sectors would be highly advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation at the forefront of electrification and sustainability, with the chance to shape procurement strategy across Europe and influence key business decisions at a strategic level.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver the European renewable energy procurement strategy.Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting.Build and manage key supplier partnerships to drive commercial value and innovation.Implement scalable procurement frameworks across European operating companies.Drive Procurement Excellence through best-practice processes, tools, and governance.Establish procurement performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead supplier performance reviews and cost optimisation programmes.Skills & QualificationsProven strategic procurement and sourcing experience in an international environment.Strong supplier relationship management, negotiation, and contracting expertise.Knowledge of across Renewable Energy and Photovoltaic (PV), Inverters or Energy Storage market.Experience working with a large volume portfolio, >€70M.Experience driving Procurement Excellence and transformation programmes.Understanding of renewable energy technologies and product ecosystems.Experience working with and managing Asian-based suppliers.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.Commercially minded with a data-driven approach to value creation.Fluency in English and French.
