About the Role

The Head of Quality will provide strategic leadership for engineering excellence, construction quality, and process standardization across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.The role will establish and drive a strong quality culture across the organization, implementing robust Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) frameworks to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, durability, functionality, and premium finishes.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Quality Leadership & GovernanceDevelop and implement the organization's Quality Vision, Policy, and Strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and premium development standards.Establish standardized QA/QC procedures, manuals, inspection plans, SOPs, and quality checklists across the complete project lifecycle.Define quality benchmarks and performance standards for structural, architectural, MEP, infrastructure, and finishing works.Establish quality governance frameworks, audit mechanisms, KPIs, and reporting systems across the project portfolio.Promote a proactive, prevention-focused quality culture and drive a zero-defect mindset across project teams.Quality Assurance & ControlProvide strategic oversight of quality performance across all construction sites and projects.Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and applicable international and local codes and standards.Oversee quality across structural works, concrete, reinforcement, masonry, façade, waterproofing, architectural finishes, MEP systems, infrastructure, and external works.Establish robust testing and inspection protocols for construction materials, including concrete, steel, finishes, waterproofing systems, and other critical materials.Ensure appropriate laboratory testing and independent verification through qualified and accredited testing facilities.Conduct regular independent quality audits and site inspections to identify non-conformances, recurring defects, and systemic quality risks.Drive effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor quality trends and implement preventive measures to reduce defects, rework, delays, and lifecycle costs.Finishing Excellence & Customer HandoverEstablish and enforce premium quality standards for architectural finishes, detailing, alignment, tolerances, workmanship, and aesthetics.Develop comprehensive inspection and approval processes for mock-ups, samples, benchmark rooms, and critical finishing activities.Lead the pre-handover quality assurance process to ensure properties meet defined quality standards before handover to customer-facing teams and end users.Establish systematic snagging, de-snagging, and final inspection processes.Analyze recurring handover and customer-related defects and implement corrective measures across future projects.Drive continuous improvement in customer experience through enhanced construction and handover quality.Contractor, Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementEstablish quality-based prequalification and evaluation criteria for contractors, consultants, suppliers, specialist subcontractors, and material manufacturers.Assess and monitor the quality performance of key vendors, contractors, ready-mix concrete suppliers, and specialist service providers.Evaluate emerging construction technologies, sustainable materials, modern formwork systems, prefabrication, and other innovative construction methodologies.Ensure productivity and construction efficiency improvements are achieved without compromising structural integrity, durability, safety, or finish quality.Collaborate with design, procurement, development, construction, and project management teams to resolve quality-related risks and issues.Team Leadership & Capability DevelopmentLead and develop a high-performing quality organization comprising regional/cluster quality managers, project QA/QC managers, site quality engineers, inspectors, and laboratory personnel.Establish clear performance objectives, competency frameworks, and career development plans for the quality function.Build a strong culture of accountability, technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Develop and maintain workmanship standards, quality benchmarks, inspection protocols, and technical training programs.Qualifications & ExperienceEducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.Additional qualifications in Quality Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or related fields will be advantageous.Technical ExpertiseStrong knowledge of international/local construction codes and ISO 9001:2015.Expertise in concrete, structural works, waterproofing, façade, MEP, and premium finishes.Experience in modern construction methods, advanced formwork, prefabrication, and sustainable technologies.Strong knowledge of QA/QC audits, material testing, ITPs, NCRs, RCA, CAPA, and quality KPIs.Experience with BIM and digital quality/snagging platforms.Leadership CompetenciesStrategic leadership and strong stakeholder management.Excellent communication and influencing
