We’re working with a well‑established, high‑growth organisation in the South East that’s looking for a Head of Recruitment - someone who knows the construction, civils, infrastructure or wider built‑environment inside out and is ready to step into a role with real influence.If you enjoy leading recruitment in fast‑paced, project‑driven environments — where no two days look the same — this role offers the chance to shape a modern talent function, build capability across multi‑site teams, and partner closely with senior leaders to drive performance and culture.What you’ll be doingOwning the full people and talent agenda across the organisation.Building a high‑volume recruitment strategy that keeps pace with ambitious growth plans.Coaching managers and leaders to create high‑performing, aligned teams.Designing development pathways that strengthen skills across technical and operational disciplines.Partnering with senior leadership to shape culture and embed strong, consistent behaviours.Leading a performance framework focused on attraction, development, retention and operational excellence.Using data and insight to drive engagement and transformation.Overseeing apprenticeships, early‑career programmes and funded development opportunities.Managing budgets and making smart investment decisions around learning and development.Driving continuous improvement through reporting, forecasting and post‑project reviews.What you’ll bringExperience in construction, civils, infrastructure, engineering or similar operational industries.The ability to build trust quickly and work confidently with leaders at all levels.A collaborative style that brings teams together and creates momentum.Strong commercial awareness and a customer‑focused mindset.The courage to challenge thinking and influence strategic direction.A clear understanding of what great performance looks like in complex, site‑based environments.If you’re a senior recruitment or people leader looking for a role with scope, visibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact, I’d love to speak with you.For a confidential conversation, reach out to lb@spencer-richardson.com.
