We are dedicated to creating immersive and personalized entertainment experiences that push the boundaries of innovation in the industry.For more information about Momentum Group, please visit our website at www.mgh.ae.Job SummaryThe Head of Regulatory Compliance will lead the operational delivery of Momentum Group’s Regulatory Compliance function across Lottery and Commercial Gaming operations.This role is responsible for managing regulatory engagement, preparing and overseeing high-quality regulatory submissions, and providing strategic regulatory advice to support business initiatives. The Head of Regulatory Compliance will ensure that regulatory risks are identified early and that the business is positioned effectively in its engagement with GCGRA and other relevant authorities.In addition, the role oversees broader regulatory and compliance requirements across the business, including regulatory reporting, regulator engagement and compliance governance activities.The role reports to the Compliance Director and has direct management responsibility for the Senior Compliance Manager and the Regulatory Compliance Manager (with the Senior Compliance Manager overseeing two Compliance Officers).ResponsibilitiesThe Head of Compliance will report to Fanatic Momentum’s Compliance Director. Responsibilities include: Regulatory Affairs & EngagementManage and co-ordinate regulatory engagement with GCGRA, including preparing and submitting formal applications, waiver requests and responses to regulatory queries.Draft and oversee the preparation of complex regulatory submissions, ensuring clarity, accuracy and strategic positioning.Provide strategic and practical regulatory advice to internal stakeholders to support product development and commercial initiatives.Represent the business in regulatory discussions and meetings as required.Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape and assess impact on business operations. Regulatory Compliance OversightSupport the Compliance Director in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, Executive Regulations and regulatory guidance.Oversee the maintenance and updating of relevant policies and procedures, ensuring material changes are identified and escalated appropriately for submission and approval where required.Lead day-to-day management regulatory reporting processes and tracking of regulatory commitments and actions.Maintain visibility of regulatory approvals and associated obligations across the business, escalating material matters to the Compliance Director as appropriate.Support and coordinate investigations into regulatory incidents or potential non-compliance matters, ensuring timely assessment and remediation.Prepare for and coordinate internal and external regulatory audits, inspections and reviews, including drafting responses, managing information requests and tracking remediation actions through to completion. Governance & Risk ManagementIdentify, assess, and manage compliance risks related to Commercial Gaming operations.Ensure regulatory and compliance considerations are appropriately incorporated into project planning and business decision-making, escalating material matters where required.Provide ongoing support and advice to management and employees on relevant compliance related matters.Contribute to horizon scanning and regulatory impact analysis and their potential impact on the business.Support the development of compliance policies and procedures.Work collaboratively with relevant departments to strengthen compliance practices and align with applicable regulatory and industry standards.\Develop and deliver compliance training and guidance to employees, promoting awareness and understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations.Maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities and governing bodies. Team LeadershipLead and manage a small team, including workload allocation, performance management and professional development.Provide oversight and quality assurance of regulatory advice and submissions prepared by the team.Foster a collaborative, commercially pragmatic and high-performing regulatory function.Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards at all times.RequirementsExtensive experience preparing complex regulatory submissions and managing regulator engagement in a regulated industry (preferably gaming, lottery or financial services).Strong regulatory affairs and advocacy experience, including direct interaction with regulators.Demonstrated ability to provide strategic regulatory advice to senior stakeholders.Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to prepare clear, structured and persuasive regulatory documentation.Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, compliance risk and internal control requirements.Proven leadership experience managing compliance or regulatory teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs or a related function.Experience in gaming, lottery, financial services or other regulated sectors preferred.Relevant professional or academic qualifications (Law, Risk, Business or related discipline preferred).At Momentum, we’re proud to be a fair, transparent, and inclusive employer.
