Apply & track with Apply EdgeHead of Social Media | Vienna-based | Full-time | Reports to Founders The Role FAT International is hiring a Head of Social Media to own the brand's presence across every channel it touches, from our own Instagram and the launch of FAT on additional channels, to the distribution strategies that sit around our biggest events and the media relationships that grow FAT's profile over time. This is a senior, output-driven role with a broad scope. You will own the social channels, manage the agencies and freelancers we work with, define how we show up on owned social channels, build the content distribution logic around our event calendar, and lead the communications work that places FAT stories, IP and talent in the right media. You work closely with the founders, the Creative Strategist, Head of Operations and our external collaborators. What You Will DoOwn FAT's social channels end-to-end (Instagram, YouTube, Email and TikTok) setting strategy, overseeing content planning, managing publishing, and driving growth across each platform with a clear view of what each one is for.Lead FAT's launch onto additional channels, together with Creative Strategist, Founders, and external partners define the channel strategy, content formats and cadence, deciding when to move and how to build an audience that feels authentic to the brand.Build and own the content distribution strategy around FAT's event calendar (defining what gets produced pre, during and post event) what lives on FAT's own channels, and what is distributed through creator, partner and media partner channels.Lead FAT's communications strategy: identifying stories worth pitching, managing press relationships, and placing FAT across motorsport, culture, fashion and lifestyle media to build earned profile over time. You manage the relationships with social, PR and creative agencies holding them to brand standards and FAT’s pace.Own the reporting rhythm across social and comms, pulling insights, setting KPIs that connect platform metrics to brand objectives, and translating what you find into fast, clear decisions about what to change.Who You Are5+ years in social media, digital content, communications or a senior brand role. Ideally with experience spanning both social execution and PR or earned media.Deep understanding of how social platforms work in practice: algorithm logic, format evolution, creator dynamics, and what separates content that builds a brand from content that just fills a grid.Experience launching or growing a channel and a clear point of view on what makes long form content work alongside short-form social.Strong communications instincts: able to identify a story, write a pitch, manage a press relationship, and think about how to grow a brand's presence beyond paid and owned channels.Comfortable managing agencies: setting briefs, reviewing creative, pushing back when standards aren't met, and getting good work out of external partners.Analytically confident: you know how to read platform data, draw conclusions and make changes based on what you find, not just report the numbers.Excellent written communicator: you can write a brief, a pitch, a caption and a founder statement, and the quality shows in all of them.Culturally fluent and genuinely curious about the spaces FAT operates in (motorsport, streetwear, events, music, art). You don't have to be an expert in all of them, but you have to care. What we offerOpportunity to build out FAT's entire social and communications function. This is a rare chance to shape a part of the business from the start, not inherit one.Grow your own team over time as FAT's channels scale in reach and output.Opportunity to join the ride of building a global brand at the timing of exponential growth.Emerge in the world of motorsport and meet the who is who.Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes.Independent and autonomous work.About FAT FAT International is a motorsport and culture company built on a single conviction: Drive. Originally a logistics label that sponsored race car teams and won Le Mans in 1994, the brand was revived by Ferdi Porsche in 2022 with a mission to make motorsport more accessible and fun, blending racing and wider culture, and giving the sport its soul back. Today the brand spans the annual FAT Ice Race and Mankei events, a growing clothing department, and FAT Media. On the racing side, the FAT Karting League (co-founded with F1 race engineer Rob Smedley) gives young drivers an affordable path into the sport, with the league winner earning a seat in FAT Racing, a formula programme with ambitions to reach F1.Are you ready to be part of a team that is driving change and making history, then we want to hear from you.
