Head of Social Support Disbursement - UAE National

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Head of Social Support Disbursement to lead the planning, supervision, and delivery of social support disbursement operations and contribute to achieving the department’s strategic and operational objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and monitor the department’s strategic and operational plans.Oversee the issuance and disbursement of bank cards to social support beneficiaries in coordination with UAE banks.Review new and ongoing social support applications and ensure beneficiary eligibility.Monitor departmental KPIs and prepare performance and achievement reports.Contribute to departmental budget planning in coordination with relevant units.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Assess risks within the social support system and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.Oversee banking-related processes, including account opening, payment processing, suspension/reactivation of monthly transfers, and changes to beneficiary guardianship.Manage and follow up on the recovery of incorrectly disbursed social support payments.Develop initiatives for continuous learning, employee development, training, and motivation.Establish principles and controls to improve operational efficiency and productivity.Education & Experience:Master’s degree in Business Administration or Sociology with at least 5 years of relevant experience; ORBachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Sociology with at least 6 years of relevant experience.Candidates with a PhD in Business Administration or Sociology may also be considered.We are looking for a strong leader with experience in social support/social security operations, financial disbursement processes, stakeholder management, risk management, performance management, and team leadership.
