Head of software Engineering

Ultimate Peaks is seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Software Engineering to lead our software development teams and drive the successful delivery of innovative technology solutions. The Head of Software Engineering will oversee the full software development lifecycle, foster a culture of technical excellence, and ensure alignment with business objectives.In this leadership role, you will collaborate closely with product management, design, and operations teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software products that meet the evolving needs of our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and grow a talented team of software engineers across multiple projectsDefine and implement software engineering best practices, development methodologies, and quality standardsDrive architectural decisions and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of software solutionsCollaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsManage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery milestones to ensure on-time project completionPromote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the engineering teamStay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain competitive advantageQualifications & ExperienceProven experience (typically 10+ years) in software engineering with at least 3-5 years in a leadership roleStrong expertise in modern software development technologies, programming languages, and frameworksExperience leading Agile teams and implementing Agile/Scrum processesExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisionsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with stakeholdersExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentRequirements10+ years of professional software development experience3-5 years in software engineering leadership roles such as Team Lead, Engineering Manager, or Head of EngineeringProficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScriptExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practicesDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teamsStrong knowledge of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and quality assuranceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
