Head of Software Engineering

We’re hiring: Head of Software Development📍 Dubai, UAE | Full-time | JGroupJGroup is a Dubai-based holding company building technology ventures across advertising, fintech and business communications in the MENA region.We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to build a new platform from architecture through to delivery. You’ll set the technical direction, build the engineering team and work closely with the founder on product and roadmap decisions.Key responsibilities:

• Architect and develop a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Build high-volume, event-driven systems targeting 99.9% uptime.
• Lead integrations with Meta, Google, CRMs, e-commerce platforms and MENA payment providers.
• Develop usage-based billing and metering capabilities.
• Recruit and lead backend, frontend and mobile engineers.
• Own platform security, data privacy and compliance requirements, including UAE and Saudi PDPL.What we’re looking for:
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis and message queues.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure, Docker and CI/CD.
• Proven experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms with billing, usage metering and high-volume APIs.
• A track record of delivering products efficiently with small teams.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience in CPaaS, SaaS, API-first businesses, Meta platform APIs or LLM-powered products is a plus.What we offer:
