Head of Strategic Delivery – Insurance & Financial ServicesWe are working with an established international financial services organisation to appoint a Head of Strategic Delivery.This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of complex business initiatives across multiple European Insurance markets, including new product launches, strategic partnerships, market expansion and major implementation programmes.The ideal candidate will have strong insurance experience.The successful candidate will provide the structure, governance and senior-level leadership required to move strategic initiatives from concept through to successful operational delivery.This opportunity will suit an experienced leader predominantly from an insurance background but will also consider banking, financial services or consulting who have a strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programmes within regulated environments.The RoleWorking closely with executive leadership and senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a portfolio of strategically important initiatives.You will work across functions including Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Commercial, Product, Underwriting and Actuarial teams, ensuring that strategic objectives are converted into clearly defined and achievable delivery plans.Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic oversight across a portfolio of complex business and market expansion initiatives.
• Establishing appropriate governance, programme structures, implementation frameworks and decision-making processes.
• Managing multiple concurrent projects across different markets and business areas.
• Setting priorities and ensuring resources are deployed effectively across the programme portfolio.
• Translating commercial objectives into practical delivery plans, milestones and operational requirements.
• Overseeing initiatives from initial scoping and planning through to launch and transition into business-as-usual operations.
• Defining clear implementation, operational readiness and go-live criteria.
• Maintaining senior-level involvement in particularly complex or strategically important projects.
• Coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple departments and jurisdictions.
• Managing relationships with senior internal stakeholders, external business partners and third-party providers.
• Establishing effective steering committees, reporting structures and escalation processes.
• Identifying and managing operational, regulatory, contractual and delivery risks.
• Ensuring appropriate documentation, governance and audit trails are maintained throughout each programme.
• Driving continuous improvement in programme delivery methodologies, tools and processes.
• Leading, coaching and developing a team responsible for the delivery of strategic initiatives.The PersonWe are interested in candidates with:
• Approximately 10+ years' experience in insurance or banking, financial services or consulting.
• Significant experience in senior programme, implementation, transformation or business delivery roles.
• A proven track record of delivering complex, multi-functional programmes, ideally across more than one jurisdiction.
• Experience leading product launches, strategic partnerships, market-entry programmes or large-scale operational change.
• Strong portfolio and programme management experience.
• Experience working within a regulated financial services environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with executive and board-level stakeholders.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate strategy into structured execution.
• The ability to influence across functions and manage competing priorities in complex environments.
• Strong leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
