Location: SwitzerlandEmployment: PermanentReporting to: Site Director / General ManagerA growing sterile biologics CDMO in Switzerland is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead and develop the site's end-to-end supply chain organisation.This is a senior leadership position within the site management team, responsible for ensuring robust supply, production planning and customer delivery across a highly regulated sterile biologics manufacturing environment.The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical, biologics, sterile manufacturing or CDMO supply chains, with the leadership capability to operate across a complex, customer-driven manufacturing site.The RoleYou will have overall responsibility for:Supply Chain strategy and site-wide executionProduction and supply planningMaterials management and procurement coordinationWarehouse and logistics operationsInventory and working capital managementDemand planning and forecastingS&OP / IBPCustomer supply and OTIF performanceSupplier performance and supply risk managementERP/MRP optimisationSupply chain organisation and team developmentWorking closely with Manufacturing, Quality, MSAT, Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Commercial, you will ensure that the site can meet customer commitments while balancing capacity, inventory, cost and GMP requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement the site's Supply Chain strategyLead, coach and develop the Supply Chain organisationOwn production planning and capacity planning processesEstablish and continuously improve S&OPEnsure availability of critical raw materials, components and packagingOptimise inventory, working capital and service levelsDrive improvements in OTIF and schedule adherenceManage supply shortages, constraints and business continuity risksDevelop strong relationships with strategic suppliersPartner with customers on forecasts, demand planning and supply commitmentsSupport new product introductions, technology transfers and site expansion programmesDrive digitalisation and continuous improvement across Supply ChainEstablish clear KPIs and provide regular performance reporting to the Site Leadership TeamEnsure compliance with applicable GMP, GDP and Swiss/EU pharmaceutical requirementsCandidate ProfileSignificant experience in Supply Chain leadership within pharma, biotech, biologics, sterile manufacturing or CDMOProven experience leading a Supply Chain function at site levelStrong understanding of GMP manufacturing and pharmaceutical supply chainsExperience across planning, materials management, logistics and inventoryStrong knowledge of S&OP, MRP/ERP and demand planningTrack record of improving service levels, inventory and operational performanceExperience within a CDMO or customer-facing manufacturing environment highly advantageousStrong commercial and financial understanding, including working capitalExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsProven people leadership experienceFluent English required; German or French would be advantageousThe OpportunityThis is an opportunity to join a high-value sterile biologics CDMO in Switzerland during an important period of growth.The successful individual will have genuine influence over the site's operational performance and the opportunity to build a modern, resilient Supply Chain organisation supporting complex biologics manufacturing programmes and international customers.If you are an experienced Supply Chain leader from a pharmaceutical, biologics, sterile manufacturing or CDMO environment and are looking for a senior site-level opportunity in Switzerland, I would be keen to speak with you.
