Apply & track with Apply EdgeYou will lead our Supply Chain function within the Engineering Division, owning supplier strategy, procurement execution, production planning, and hardware readiness across the company's spacecraft portfolio.We are seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead the company's end-to-end supply chain strategy supporting rapidly developing autonomous spacecraft systems. This is a hands-on executive leadership role responsible for supplier management, procurement execution, material readiness, inventory strategy, production planning, and operational scalability. The successful candidate will build the operational foundation required to rapidly develop, integrate, test, and deploy mission-critical aerospace hardware in dynamic environments.This position offers the opportunity to directly influence the future of autonomous orbital control systems and national security space programs. The selected candidate will work alongside engineering leadership and executive stakeholders to build scalable infrastructure and processes that support long-term growth while maintaining startup agility.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute the company supply chain strategy across all spacecraft hardware, systems, and products.Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, negotiation, contracting, and vendor performance management activities.Drive procurement execution and long-lead material planning to support aggressive development milestones.Partner closely with engineering teams to improve manufacturability, scalability, and hardware readiness.Build robust supplier relationships and develop strategic sourcing plans for critical technologies and components.Identify and mitigate supplier, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and material risks before they impact program schedules.Establish purchasing, inventory management, forecasting, production planning, and material control processes.Support manufacturing, integration, assembly, and test activities through effective hardware coordination.Develop KPI-driven supply chain metrics and operational reporting.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain organization as the company scales.Serve as the primary operational authority for supply chain planning and execution across programs.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.8+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, spacecraft, aviation, robotics, or other high-reliability hardware environments.Demonstrated success managing complex suppliers, procurement activities, and hardware delivery schedules.Strong understanding of supply chain operations, sourcing strategies, production planning, and lifecycle management.Experience supporting rapid development programs and prototype-to-production transitions.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and program teams.Experience with ERP/MRP systems, purchasing workflows, and inventory management practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience leading supply chain organizations within aerospace or defense startups.Familiarity with DFARS, ITAR, traceability requirements, and aerospace quality systems.Experience supporting classified or government-funded programs.Background supporting spacecraft, satellite, launch, robotics, or advanced hardware development organizations.Active security clearance is a plus.
