Role Description The Director role at Kingston Engineering College is a full-time, on-site position based in Tamil Nadu, India. The Director will oversee academic and administrative operations, ensuring that programs meet regulatory standards and align with the college’s mission and strategic goals. Daily responsibilities include supervising department heads, guiding curriculum development, monitoring teaching quality, and fostering an environment that supports student success and faculty development. The Director will manage budgets and resources, develop policies, support accreditation and compliance activities, and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, industry partners, and community stakeholders. The role also involves leading initiatives for institutional growth, research promotion, and continuous improvement in infrastructure, governance, and campus culture.QualificationsDemonstrated leadership and management experience in higher education, preferably in engineering or technology institutions.Strong skills in academic administration, including curriculum oversight, faculty supervision, and quality assurance.Ability to develop and implement strategic plans, manage budgets, and optimize institutional resources.Experience with accreditation processes, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with education authorities.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict-resolution skills.Commitment to fostering an inclusive, learner-centered, and ethically grounded academic environment.Doctoral or master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a closely related field; significant academic and administrative track record is highly desirable.Experience in research promotion, industry collaboration, and initiatives that enhance student employability and institutional reputation.
