Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe organisationOur client is a respected First Nations organisation delivering vocational education and training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from communities across Australia.Based in NSW, the organisation provides culturally grounded education that places First Nations ways of knowing, being and doing at the heart of the learning experience.The opportunityReporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Teaching and Learning will lead the organisation’s education function, with responsibility for its people, programs and continued development.This is a broad leadership role with a strong focus on the development and delivery of high-quality educational programs within a vocational education and training environment. You will provide leadership across curriculum, teaching and learning, quality and compliance, ensuring programs remain culturally grounded, responsive and focused on positive student outcomes.Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will build capability, develop leaders and foster a collaborative learning culture. You will also contribute to curriculum review and redevelopment, operational planning, resource management and continuous improvement across the education portfolio. About youYou are an accomplished Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander education leader with experience leading people and educational programs within vocational education and training or a related education environment.You combine strong people leadership with practical educational experience and the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities while developing capability across a team.
