We seek to extensively engage with clinical communities to communicate product improvements and prioritise environmental, social, and governance considerations across the business and workforce.Pharmanovia’s therapeutic areas include Cardiovascular, Oncology, Endocrinology and Neurology.Job description:The Head of Technology & Digital is accountable for a reliable, secure and fit-for-purpose technology estate that creates measurable business value. Reporting to the Chief Value Creation Officer, the role leads enterprise applications, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital enablement, with accountability for the Technology & Digital budget.As a senior leader within the Value Creation & Digital Office, the role will partner closely with functional leaders and colleagues across Value Creation and Data, Analytics & AI. The immediate agenda includes SAP and process optimisation, application and licence rationalisation, vendor and sourcing optimisation, workflow automation and technology enablement of the India GCC.Key responsibilitiesTechnology strategy and value creation• Define a pragmatic technology strategy and investment roadmap aligned to Pharmanovia's business and value-creation priorities.• Act as the principal technology adviser to the ELT, providing clear recommendations on investment, risk, cost and strategic trade-offs.• Own the Technology & Digital budget and drive rigorous management of technology spend, vendor economics and total cost of ownership.• Build strong commercial relationships with technology partners and challenge delivery models to improve value, service and resilience.Business systems, SAP and process• Own the enterprise applications landscape, ensuring core platforms are fit for purpose, appropriately integrated and right-sized for the business.• Partner with functional process owners to redesign P2P, O2C and S2S, ensuring process simplification precedes technology configuration and migration.• Define and prioritise the SAP improvement backlog based on business value, control requirements and GCC migration needs.• Lead application and licence rationalisation, including renewal, consolidation and decommissioning, to reduce cost and complexity.• Optimise internal and external support models, including insourcing and outsourcing decisions, to improve service quality and cost efficiency.• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and strengthen controls through workflow, automation and AI, in partnership with the Data, Analytics & AI team.Infrastructure, cybersecurity and compliance• Ensure resilient, scalable and cost-effective infrastructure, end-user technology and IT service delivery.• Maintain a robust cybersecurity and business-continuity posture, with clear visibility of material risks and remediation priorities.• Ensure technology change, validation and controls support GxP and regulatory requirements, including inspection and audit readiness.People and organisation• Lead a high-performing Technology & Digital team with clear accountability, strong commercial discipline and a bias toward value delivery.• Ensure the team is structured and resourced to execute the mandate efficiently, evolving internal capability and sourcing as priorities change.• Work through functional leaders and other Value Creation Office teams to create the transparency, pace and challenge required to deliver measurable value.• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration, and lead change to maximise adoption and sustain benefits.What success looks like• A simpler, lower-cost technology estate with clear ROI and reduced application, licence and vendor complexity.• Core processes and SAP better configured to support control, productivity and the India GCC operating model.• A secure, stable and compliant technology environment with strong operational resilience.• A Technology & Digital function recognised as a pragmatic business partner and contributor to enterprise value creation.Person specification• 13+ years of senior technology leadership experience in a complex, regulated environment; pharmaceutical or life sciences experience strongly preferred.• Demonstrable track record of using technology to deliver measurable business improvement, cost reduction, productivity or operating-model change.• Strong experience across enterprise applications and ERP, infrastructure, cybersecurity, technology sourcing and vendor management.• Practical understanding of SAP and enterprise system integration, with experience improving poorly configured or overly complex technology environments.• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including technology budget ownership, business cases, investment prioritisation and total-cost-of-ownership decisions.• Working knowledge of GxP, computer system validation and technology compliance requirements in a regulated environment.• Credible and confident with senior leaders, able to translate technology issues into clear commercial choices and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies.• Pragmatic, hands-on and outcome-focused, comfortable moving between strategy, problem solving and delivery in a lean organisation.• Track record of building, leading and developing high-performing teams and creating clear accountability for outcomes.• Collaborative, curious and adaptable, with sound judgement, integrity and a strong bias toward simplification and continuous improvement.Job Location : Mumbai, Maharashtra/ Vadodara, Gujrat
