Head of TechnologyHybrid (Brighton)£100,000–£120,000 + Bonus + BenefitsWe’re partnering with a growing, technology-led organisation that is looking for an experienced Head of Technology to lead and develop its technology function.Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a broad senior leadership role with responsibility for a team of up to 25 people across Software Engineering, IT and technology operations.You’ll take ownership of the technology strategy and roadmap, while also providing leadership across engineering, architecture, cloud, security, service delivery and AI. The role will suit someone who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level and who can help scale the technology function as the business continues to grow.Key areas of focus will include:Leading and developing a multidisciplinary technology team of up to 25Driving engineering quality, delivery performance and operational maturityOverseeing a modern technology stack including React, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScriptLeading the organisation’s ISO 27001 implementation through to certificationStrengthening security, governance, risk and complianceOverseeing an AWS cloud environment and modern cloud-native architectureIdentifying and implementing practical AI opportunities across products, engineering and internal operationsImproving CI/CD, automation, DevOps and software delivery practicesPartnering with the CEO and senior leadership team on technology investment and strategyWe’re looking for someone with previous experience in a senior technology leadership role such as Head of Technology, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director or Technical Director.You’ll ideally bring a strong software engineering and architecture background, proven people leadership experience, solid AWS knowledge and demonstrable experience delivering ISO 27001 certification.Experience implementing AI in a practical business environment will also be an important part of the role.Hybrid working - 3 days a week in Brighton office.
