Head of Technology

Role Description The Head of Technology is a part-time, remote role responsible for shaping and overseeing Oswah community’s technology vision and execution. This role includes leading the planning and implementation of IT strategy to support leadership programs and digital initiatives, ensuring that systems, tools, and platforms align with organizational goals. Day-to-day tasks involve managing IT operations, overseeing infrastructure reliability and security, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver efficient, user-friendly solutions. The Head of Technology will also evaluate new technologies, optimize existing systems, and establish best practices and standards that support scalability and sustainability. Collaboration with program leaders and administrative teams to understand needs, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver practical solutions is a core part of this position.QualificationsStrong foundation in Information Technology, with the ability to oversee technology architecture and systems across the organization.Demonstrated experience in IT Management and IT Operations, including vendor coordination, system maintenance, and support processes.Proven capability in IT Strategy, aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals and long-term program needs.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure design and management, such as cloud services, networking, security, and data protection.Ability to work part-time and remotely, managing priorities and communicating effectively with distributed teams.Experience in non-profit, community, or educational environments is an advantage.Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a practical approach to implementing digital solutions.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
