Head of Technology Confidential Consumer Products / Retail Opportunity Florida Gulf Coast (Onsite) About the Opportunity A growing consumer products, retail, and direct-to-consumer business is seeking a hands-on Head of Technology to lead the next phase of its technology evolution.This is the senior technology leadership role within the organization, reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with the executive team. The company has established a strong market position and is entering a period of accelerated growth, digital transformation, and operational scale.The successful candidate will be equally comfortable discussing business strategy in the boardroom and working alongside engineers, technology partners, and functional leaders to execute initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the company's technology strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities.Lead software engineering, ecommerce technology, enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and AI initiatives.Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team on growth, scalability, and operational efficiency.Evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for modernization, automation, and simplification.Oversee ecommerce platform performance, customer experience technology, and systems integrations.Lead technology vendor selection, negotiation, and management.Build and develop a high-performing technology organization while maintaining a practical, execution-oriented operating model.Establish governance, security, and business continuity practices appropriate for a growing business.Drive the adoption of data, analytics, and AI capabilities to improve decision-making and productivity.Ideal Background We are interested in leaders who combine strategic perspective with a builder mentality.Successful candidates will likely bring:Technology leadership experience within retail, consumer products, ecommerce, distribution, manufacturing, or direct-to-consumer environments.Experience leading software engineering, digital commerce, enterprise systems, and infrastructure functions.Strong understanding of ecommerce ecosystems, including platform architecture, customer experience, fulfillment, and systems integration.Experience operating within entrepreneurial, founder-led, private-equity-backed, or growth-oriented organizations.Demonstrated success leading technology transformations and modernization initiatives.Ability to influence executive stakeholders while remaining close to execution.Experience managing third-party technology partners and outsourced development organizations.Familiarity with ERP, CRM, ecommerce, WMS, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data, and AI technologies.What Stands OutTop technology leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.Opportunity to influence company strategy and growth.High visibility across the organization.Ability to build, modernize, and scale technology capabilities.Meaningful ownership and impact in a business entering its next phase of growth.Location This position is based on Florida's Gulf Coast and requires regular in-office presence.Compensation Competitive base salary, annual incentive opportunity, and comprehensive benefits package.
