The organization is committed to an open, connected, and borderless future of finance.Role Description The Head of Trade Finance will lead Monfi Digital Bank’s trade finance function, overseeing product strategy, portfolio management, and end-to-end execution of trade finance solutions. This full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates includes developing and managing trade finance offerings such as letters of credit, guarantees, and supply chain finance for corporate and institutional clients. The role involves monitoring commodity market trends, structuring tailored trade finance transactions, and ensuring robust risk management and regulatory compliance across international trade activities. The Head of Trade Finance will collaborate with relationship managers, risk, legal, and operations teams to deliver seamless client experiences, optimize pricing and profitability, and support digital product innovation in trade finance. Responsibilities also include mentoring team members, establishing policies and procedures, and representing Monfi in client meetings and industry forums.Qualifications Strong expertise in Trade Finance and International Trade, with experience structuring cross-border transactions and trade solutions.Knowledge of Commodity Markets and related risk drivers, including pricing, hedging, and market dynamics.In-depth understanding of Letters of Credit and other trade instruments such as guarantees, collections, and standby facilities.Solid Finance skills, including credit analysis, risk assessment, and profitability management for trade portfolios.Proven leadership experience in a banking or financial services environment, preferably in trade finance or corporate banking.Advanced communication, negotiation, and client relationship management abilities, with a focus on institutional and corporate clients.Strong familiarity with international regulations, compliance standards, and trade documentation requirements.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CDCS, CTFP) is an advantage.Ability to work on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
