Head of Translation & Cross-Cultural Affairs, English–Chinese (EN-CN)

CC7 Global Engineering Solutions L.L.C. is hiring a Head of Translation & Cross-Cultural Affairs, English–Chinese, to join our team in Dubai.This is a senior, high-impact position responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and legal reliability of English–Chinese communications across executive management, corporate governance, contracts, and international EPC project delivery.The successful candidate will act as a trusted linguistic and cross-cultural adviser to senior leadership, supporting communication between Chinese shareholders, international partners, Middle East clients, and multicultural project teams. Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain company-wide English–Chinese translation and interpretation standards.Develop bilingual terminology databases, glossaries, style guides, and translation protocols.Provide high-level consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for Board meetings, executive committees, contract negotiations, and major external engagements.Translate and review strategic correspondence, presentations, reports, and official communications.Review and validate EPC contracts, MoUs, Letters of Award, claims, variation orders, side letters, and dispute-related documentation.Work closely with Legal, Contracts, and Commercial teams to ensure consistency of legal meaning and contractual intent.Translate and quality-check engineering documents, specifications, procedures, method statements, HSE materials, and project correspondence.Advise senior leadership on Chinese and international business practices, communication styles, cultural expectations, and negotiation protocols.Support the selection and responsible use of translation technologies and AI-assisted tools.Build and maintain the company’s bilingual knowledge base.Provide guidance, training, and quality oversight to translation and interpretation resources across offices and projects. Essential QualificationsMaster’s degree in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, Law, Engineering, International Relations, or a related discipline.At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in senior-level English–Chinese translation and interpretation.Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken.Proven experience supporting senior executives, Boards, complex negotiations, and confidential engagements.Strong experience with legal, contractual, technical, and corporate documentation.Good understanding of international EPC projects, corporate governance, and contract structures.Ability to work independently with exceptional accuracy, discretion, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
