Head of Transport and Logistics

HEAD OF TRANSPORT & LOGISTICSWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Transport & Logistics to lead and optimise end-to-end transport and logistics operations for a large-scale organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for fleet performance, distribution efficiency, logistics planning, cost optimisation, compliance and the development of a high-performing transport and logistics function.Key responsibilities include:Lead the overall transport, fleet and logistics strategy in line with business objectives.Oversee fleet utilisation, availability, maintenance coordination, route planning and operational efficiency.Drive cost optimisation across transport, fuel, logistics and distribution operations.Develop and implement systems, processes and performance standards to improve service delivery and fleet productivity.Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, health & safety requirements and company policies.Lead, mentor and develop transport, logistics and fleet teams.Manage key service providers, contractors and strategic logistics partners.Monitor operational KPIs, identify inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Provide senior management with accurate reporting, analysis and strategic recommendations.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field.At least 10 years’ senior-level experience in transport, logistics, fleet or supply chain management, preferably within a large-scale FMCG, manufacturing, distribution or agricultural environment.Proven experience managing large commercial fleets and complex distribution operations.Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in transport cost control and operational optimisation.Excellent leadership, strategic planning, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.Strong knowledge of transport compliance, fleet management systems and logistics best practices.A results-driven leader with the ability to manage large teams and operate effectively at executive level.Interested and suitably qualified candidates should send their CV’s to ameer@priconsultants.com no later than 8th September 2026.
