The role: What we expect from you.Develop and execute the Workplace Banking strategy, business plan and customer value proposition, aligned to the Bank’s Retail Banking strategy and growth ambitions.Drive growth and profitability of the Workplace Banking portfolio through the acquisition, retention and deepening of employer relationships, payroll mandates and employee banking partnerships.Identify and prioritise high-potential sectors, employers, payroll opportunities and emerging market trends to grow customer numbers, market share and revenue.Grow assets, deposits, lending, transactional volumes, digital adoption and non-funded income, while delivering agreed portfolio profitability and performance targets.Develop and continuously enhance compelling, segment-led products, propositions and solutions that address the financial needs of employers and their employees.Identify and unlock ecosystem, value-chain and cross-selling opportunities, leveraging employer relationships to deepen penetration across Retail, SME and Corporate Banking.Lead business origination and pipeline development, ensuring strong conversion of employer partnerships into active, multi-product banking relationships.Collaborate across CBZ Holdings and Bank SBUs to deliver integrated and differentiated client solutions.Promote financial wellness, employee engagement and workplace activation programmes that strengthen customer acquisition, engagement, loyalty and retention.Manage portfolio performance, profitability and risk, ensuring adherence to approved policies, credit governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.Build a sales-driven, customer-centric and high-performance culture through coaching, talent development, succession planning and employee engagement.Qualifications, Skills, and experience required.Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline.Possess a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Strategic Management or a related field.A professional banking qualification such as Chartered Banker designation or equivalent will be an added advantage.Have a minimum of 8–10 years’ progressive banking experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.Have a proven track record in sales leadership, business development, payroll relationship management, salary-based lending and deposit mobilisation.Demonstrate strong experience in product development, customer relationship management, digital banking, credit risk, regulatory compliance and banking operations.Possess strong strategic leadership, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead high-performing teams.If you meet the above criteria, you are the ideal person we are looking for.
