Head / Sr Manager Cybersecurity Defence & ResilienceRemote | Up to £150,000We’re recruiting a Head of Cyber Defence & Resilience for a major UK-headquartered global organisation, taking ownership of its cyber defence strategy, Security Operations capability and ability to respond to and recover from serious cyber incidents.This is a high-responsibility, highly visible leadership position where you'll work closely with senior technology and business leaders to ensure cyber threats don’t become business-critical events.The businessOur client is a FTSE 250, $1.5bn revenue global organisation, operating across 50 countries with more than 17,000 employees worldwide.A world leader within manufacturing and advanced materials, the business supplies critical products and solutions to some of the world's largest organisations across the apparel, footwear and performance materials industries.With a history stretching back more than 250 years, this is a highly established international business that continues to invest heavily in technology, digitalisation and innovation.Key responsibilities will include:Define and lead the global cyber defence and resilience strategyEstablish, lead and mature the SOC and its operating modelOversee 24 / 7 security monitoring, detection and incident responseOwn and optimise core security capabilities including endpoint, email and secure accessDevelop and continually improve incident response and crisis management plansLead cyber incident simulations and table-top exercisesTest ransomware, backup and recovery scenariosUse real incidents and lessons learned to continuously strengthen security controlsWork closely with senior D&T and business leadership across multiple countriesTranslate complex cyber threats into clear business risks and investment prioritiesEnsure security operations remain aligned with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practiceWhat we're looking forWe're looking for someone with around 8–10+ years' cybersecurity experience who has progressed into significant responsibility across cyber defence, security operations and incident response.You'll ideally have:Strong SOC leadership experienceExperience building or significantly maturing Security Operations capabilitiesDeep understanding of incident detection and responseExperience developing SOC strategies and incident response frameworksCyber resilience, ransomware, backup and recovery experienceExperience handling or preparing organisations for major cyber incidentsThe ability to influence senior executives and operate across a complex global businessStrong understanding of cybersecurity standards and best practicesCISSP, CISM or equivalent professional certificationExperience leading crisis response and cyber simulation/table-top exercises would be particularly valuable.We look forward to your application
