On-site, the Head Waiter oversees dining room operations, leads the service team, and ensures guests receive high-quality, courteous, and timely service. Responsibilities include organizing table settings, managing reservations and seating plans, coordinating with kitchen staff, and supervising food and beverage service to maintain standards and efficiency. The role also involves training and mentoring service staff, handling guest inquiries and complaints, supporting special events, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The Head Waiter collaborates closely with management to implement service improvements and maintain a welcoming, professional atmosphere.Qualifications Strong customer service skills, with the ability to manage guest expectations and resolve issues professionally.Experience in food & beverage and food service operations, including menu knowledge and coordination with kitchen staff.Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests, colleagues, and management.Basic cooking knowledge or familiarity with food preparation processes to support menu understanding and service timing.Previous experience in a supervisory or senior waiter role in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality settings.Proven ability to lead and train service staff, organize shifts, and maintain service standards.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices in hospitality service.Comfort with using basic digital tools for reservations, scheduling, and communication.Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to Dubai’s diverse clientele are an advantage.
