Health Care Associate Attorney or Counsel (5+ yrs) – Am Law 200 Firm

About the Position:Our client, a large national law firm, is actively seeking an experienced healthcare attorney with a practice focused on transactional and regulatory matters to join its Chicago office as an associate or counsel (title will depend on level of experience). This team has an extensive and high-end client list and assists with sophisticated transactions, regulatory/compliance issues, and high-stakes litigation for hospitals and health systems, health plans, group purchasing organizations, physician groups, and other health care entities.Highlights:· Named as a Best Law Firm in the Midwest by Vault· Collaborative and congenial firm atmosphere· Firm provides associates with strong mentorship and preparation for partnershipResponsibilities:· Assist clients in navigating complex health care regulatory landscapes, including federal and state licensing and certification, Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and provider operations· Perform due diligence reviews for health care clients in proposed mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures· Assist clients in negotiating critical agreements such as managed care contracts, professional service agreements, and vendor dealsRequired Qualifications:· 5+ years of experience handling corporate and regulatory matters in the health care sector· Strong understanding of Fraud and Abuse, Stark, Medicare reimbursement, and HIPAALocation:Chicago, IL (Hybrid)Compensation:The anticipated base salary range for this position is $225,000 - $290,000.About Us:McCormack Schreiber Legal Search is Chicago’s leading legal search firm.
