Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204Interview Type: Phone and in-personShort Description:The Oral Health Educator will promote oral health awareness and preventive practices across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and community settings. The role will educate CNAs, school nurses, educators, children, families, and community partners while supporting initiatives that improve oral health outcomes for vulnerable populations.Key Responsibilities• Develop and deliver engaging oral health workshops and training programs.• Create accessible, culturally appropriate educational materials, including guides, checklists, presentations, and digital resources.• Collaborate with healthcare providers, SNF leadership, schools, early learning centers, and community organizations.• Provide ongoing oral health guidance and support to staff, educators, families, and community partners.• Participate in health fairs, community outreach events, school programs, and public health campaigns.• Support program planning, grant proposals, budgeting, data collection, reporting, and evaluation.• Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to strengthen oral health education and prevention efforts.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Education, Dental Hygiene, or a related field.• At least 1 year of experience delivering health education or training, preferably in schools, early learning, healthcare, long-term care, or community settings.• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.• Ability to develop engaging, accessible, and culturally appropriate educational content.• Knowledge of oral hygiene, common dental conditions, and preventive care is highly desired.• Previous oral health experience is preferred; candidates with a strong interest in oral health and willingness to learn will be considered.• Experience with data management and analysis preferred.• Grant writing and budgeting experience preferred.• Public health experience is a plus.
