This role requires ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and standards, including those set by the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), the Ministry of Health (MOH), and other private and government agencies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties and tasks may be assigned.Support the implementation, configuration, and integration of the Health Information System (HIS), including the PearlCare System, with existing organizational systems.Coordinate with IT, clinical teams, and system users to configure and customize HIS functionalities based on operational and clinical requirements.Support data migration, validation, system interfaces, and integration activities to ensure accuracy and continuity of information.Monitor HIS compliance with applicable Saudi healthcare requirements, including MOH and CBAHI standards, and report identified gaps to the relevant management.Participate in regular system audits and compliance assessments and support the implementation of corrective actions.Maintain awareness of changes in healthcare regulations, standards, and health informatics requirements applicable in Saudi Arabia.Support the maintenance of health information data quality, accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security.Apply approved data protection and privacy requirements in accordance with Saudi regulations and organizational policies.Support the implementation and maintenance of procedures related to data access, storage, retention, and sharing.Provide training and guidance to healthcare staff on the effective use of HIS and related electronic systems.Provide ongoing user support and assist in troubleshooting system-related issues, coordinating with IT or vendors when escalation is required.Develop and update user guides, training materials, system procedures, and related documentation.Participate in HIS projects and system enhancement initiatives, ensuring assigned activities are completed within agreed timelines.Coordinate with vendors, internal departments, and relevant stakeholders regarding assigned system requirements, issues, testing, and implementation activities.Prepare system reports, project documentation, system change records, and other required documentation.Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend enhancements to improve usability, workflow efficiency, and data quality.Monitor system performance and user feedback and report recurring issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.Support the design, configuration, and enhancement of health information systems in alignment with organizational requirements and applicable standards.Analyze existing clinical and health information workflows to identify gaps and recommend system or process improvements.Support interoperability and integration between HIS and other healthcare technologies and information systems.Apply approved data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and information-security practices within the scope of assigned responsibilities.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify informatics solutions that support clinical workflows, patient safety, and quality of care.Conduct user training sessions on new system functionalities, updates, and health informatics best practices.Perform system testing, validation, and post-implementation monitoring to ensure functionality, data accuracy, and reliability.Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and data-analysis outputs to support clinical and administrative decision-making.Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis related to health informatics activities and system performance for relevant stakeholders.Maintain accurate records of system issues, resolutions, configurations, changes, and user support activities.Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.Qualifications RequirementsEducation Requirements:Master’s or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or any related field.Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (For Saudi Only).Experience Requirements:Five (5) years of experience in a health information role, preferably in healthcare or medical licensing sectors.Other Requirements:Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Certification is an advantage.Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) is preferred.Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) is preferred.AMIA Health Informatics Certification (AHIC) is an advantage.Saudi Health Management Association (SHIMA) member is preferred.American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) member is an advantage.
