The organization values integrity, accountability, and responsible stewardship of the marine environment.Role Description The Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer is a full-time, on-site role based on Abu dhabi Island. The HSE Officer will oversee day-to-day safety and environmental practices, including conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with local and international HSE regulations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing HSE procedures, delivering safety inductions and toolbox talks, and organizing regular training sessions for personnel. The role involves investigating incidents and near-misses, preparing reports, recommending corrective and preventive actions, and monitoring their implementation. The HSE Officer will also maintain safety documentation, coordinate emergency response drills, liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, and promote a strong safety culture across all marine operations.Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards relevant to marine or industrial operations.Experience conducting risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections in an operational environment.Ability to develop HSE policies, procedures, and training materials, and to deliver effective safety training to diverse teams.Strong incident reporting and investigation skills, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.Proficiency in maintaining HSE records, preparing compliance reports, and using basic office software tools.Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred; a technical or science-related diploma/degree is an advantage.Previous experience in marine, offshore, or industrial sectors, and willingness to work on-site in Abu Al Abyad Island.
