Applicants can expect to join a technically diverse organization with a strong presence in the regional construction and engineering sector.Role Description The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Saudi Arabia. The HSE Officer will monitor and enforce workplace safety standards, conduct regular site inspections, and identify potential hazards across civil, mechanical, electrical, and maintenance activities. The role includes developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures, coordinating risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with local regulations, company standards, and client requirements. The HSE Officer will lead safety inductions and training, investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports and documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with project managers, supervisors, and workers is essential to promote a strong safety culture and environmentally responsible practices at all project sites.Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards relevant to construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects.Experience conducting risk assessments, site inspections, incident investigations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.Ability to develop and deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs for diverse teams.Strong skills in documentation, reporting, and maintaining HSE records, including permits, logs, and compliance reports.Familiarity with safe work practices for civil/structural, mechanical piping, electrical, and instrumentation activities is highly beneficial.Effective communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence behavior and promote a safety-first culture.Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and a diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Proven ability to work on-site in challenging environments, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to safety and environmental issues.Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) for reporting, data analysis, and presentation of HSE information.Previous experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or GCC region and familiarity with local regulatory requirements is an advantage
