Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Description: HSE Officer – Road/Highway Projects **( Candidate current location must be in Doha)**Salary - 3500/- 5000/- RiyalLocation - Doha Duration - permanent jobIndustry: Road Construction / Highway InfrastructureExperience: 3–5 years in HSE, preferably in road/highway construction projectsQualification: Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or related fieldCertification: NEBOSH IGC required; IOSH/OSHA or equivalent certification will be an advantageKey Responsibilities:Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at road/highway project sites.Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments.Monitor traffic management, road diversions, barricading, signage, and work-zone safety.Ensure safe working practices for excavation, earthwork, asphalt/paving, equipment operation, lifting, and other construction activities.Identify hazards and implement appropriate control measures.Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare reports.Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations, client requirements, and project safety procedures.Monitor PPE compliance and safe use of construction machinery and vehicles.Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain emergency preparedness.Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident statistics, permits, and training documentation.Conduct regular safety training and induction programs for workers and subcontractors.Stop unsafe work where there is an immediate risk to personnel, equipment, or the public.Assist management in achieving project HSE targets and maintaining a strong safety culture.Required SkillsGood knowledge of road/highway construction safety practices.Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification.Knowledge of traffic management and work-zone safety.Good communication and reporting skills.Ability to work independently at a construction site.Proficiency in MS Office and preparation of HSE reports.Strong knowledge of PPE, permit-to-work systems, emergency procedures, and incidentinvestigation.Preferred ProfileNEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory/preferred.3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, with significant exposure to road/highway projects.Experience with contractors, subcontractors, heavy equipment, and workforce safety.Candidates with experience on major infrastructure/highway projects will be preferred.
