The role focuses on minimizing risks, maintaining compliance, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Health & Safety ManagementDevelop, implement, and monitor occupational health & safety policies and proceduresConduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and hazard identificationPerform routine site inspections and safety auditsEnsure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Promote a safety-first culture across the organization Act as the first point of contact for hazard identification and mitigation within the organization.Security ManagementSupport implementation of site security procedures and access control systemsMonitor and report security risks, breaches, or suspicious activitiesCoordinate with security teams and external agencies when requiredAssist in emergency and crisis management planning.Environmental ManagementEnsure compliance with environmental laws and regulationsMonitor environmental impact (waste management, emissions, pollution control)Implement sustainability initiatives and environmental protection programsConduct environmental audits and inspectionsIncident ManagementInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near-missesPrepare detailed reports including root cause analysisRecommend and track corrective actions to prevent recurrenceMaintain incident logs and reporting systemsTraining & AwarenessConduct HSSEQ inductions and training sessionsDevelop awareness campaigns on safety, environment, and qualityEnsure staff competency in HSSEQ practices and proceduresDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate HSSEQ records, reports, and compliance documentationPrepare monthly HSSEQ performance reports and KPIsEnsure documentation aligns with regulatory and company requirementsEmergency PreparednessDevelop and implement emergency response plansConduct fire drills, evacuation drills, and emergency exercisesCoordinate with emergency services and internal response teamsCompliance & Regulatory LiasionEnsure adherence to local, national, and international regulationsLiaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and certification agenciesKeep updated with changes in HSSEQ legislation and standardsNote: This doesn’t exclude any specific duties, if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. Qualification & Experience: Qualification: Bachelors degree in a related field.National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) general certification is required.“Train the trainer” qualifications is required.An ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is preferred.Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of directly related to HSSEQ Supervisor experience is required.Experience dealing and handling with multinational employees/drivers daily basis.Ability to develop and provide effective training to large or small groups on a variety of safety topics.Driving License: UAE light vehicle driving license is required.
