HSE – Interior Fit-Out Experience

Job Title: HSE Officer / HSE Engineer – Interior Fit-OutRequired Experience:3–5 years of HSE experience, preferably with interior fit-out, construction, joinery, or MEP projects.UAE experience is preferred.Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, municipality requirements, and site safety standards.Experience working on commercial, hospitality, F&B, retail, and residential fit-out projects.NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / relevant HSE certification preferred.Strong knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, site inspections, and incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily site HSE inspections and identify unsafe conditions and practices.Ensure compliance with approved Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Monitor fit-out activities including carpentry, gypsum, painting, ceiling works, flooring, MEP, hot works, work at height, and material handling.Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for workers and subcontractors.Monitor PPE compliance, housekeeping, access routes, scaffolding, ladders and temporary works.Ensure proper control of hot work permits, work-at-height activities, electrical works and confined-space activities, where applicable.Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe incidents and prepare reports.Maintain HSE records, inspection checklists, permits and corrective-action reports.Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors regarding safety requirements.Follow up on corrective and preventive actions until closure.Support emergency preparedness, fire safety and evacuation drills.Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals, paints, adhesives and other hazardous materials.Monitor site compliance with client, consultant and authority HSE requirements.Stop unsafe work where there is an immediate risk to workers or others.
