Safety Officer – Mandarin Speaker

Location: Riyadh / Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Employment Type: Contract – 12 months, extendableJoining: ImmediateWe are looking for an experienced Safety Officer fluent in both English and Mandarin to support project operations in Saudi Arabia.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor site safety and ensure compliance with HSE policies and applicable regulations.Conduct site inspections, HSE audits, risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).Monitor Permit to Work (PTW), working at height, lifting operations, electrical safety and other high-risk activities.Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE training.Investigate incidents and near misses, recommend corrective actions, and maintain HSE reports.Coordinate with project teams and client representatives to promote a strong safety culture.Required Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years of relevant HSE/Safety experience.Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.IOSH Managing Safely and additional HSE certifications are preferred.Fluent spoken and written English, along with fluent Mandarin.Valid Saudi Iqama, Ajeer contract and Saudi driving licence are required.Experience in construction, industrial, infrastructure or electromechanical projects is essential; elevator/escalator industry experience is a strong advantage.Contract Details12-month contract, extendable based on project requirements.Six working days per week, eight hours per day.Medical insurance for the employee and family.Immediate mobilisation preferred.Candidates currently based in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries are welcome to apply, subject to the required Saudi documentation and mobilisation eligibility.
