The mechanic will perform diagnostic work, repair, and maintenance on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, performing scheduled and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical faults, replacing parts, and completing repair reports. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintaining accurate service records, and coordinating with supervisors and operators to minimize downtime. The mechanic is expected to keep the work area organized, use tools and equipment safely, and support continuous improvement of maintenance processes.Qualifications Strong skills in Diesel Mechanics and Heavy Equipment repair and servicing.Demonstrated experience in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance in an industrial or fleet environment.Ability to plan and perform Preventive Maintenance, including inspections, servicing, and documentation.Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems related to heavy diesel machinery.Relevant technical certification or diploma in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, or a similar field.Experience working in workshop or field service settings, preferably with heavy trucks, construction, or mining equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation, with basic computer literacy for maintenance records.Commitment to workplace safety, adherence to company policies, and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
