Job SummaryState 48 Machinery is seeking an elite, highly experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic-Field Service to join our growing team. You will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy machinery in the field to keep our customers' fleets operating safely and efficiently. This is a senior level field service position requiring expert diagnostic ability, total independence, and a commitment to quality workmanship.Why Join State 48 Machinery?Top Pay: $40.00 - $75.00 per hour (based on experience)Benefits: Full benefits package including health insurance, PTOWorkload: Steady year-round work with overtime opportunitiesCulture: Growing company with a supportive team and advancement pathsTake-Home Service Truck: Specialty Equipped service truck with home-dispatch privileges so you start and end your day right from your personal residence.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, engine, and powertrain systems.Utilize diagnostic software including Caterpillar ET, Cummins Insite, and similar platforms.Perform preventative maintenance, field repairs, component replacements, and reconditioning.Identify complex equipment failures, find root causes, and execute repair solutions.Communicate equipment conditions and repair findings directly to customers and management.Complete accurate service reports, inspection forms, and repair documentation.What We're Looking ForExperience: Minimum 8+ years of professional Yellow Iron heavy equipment diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair experience (Required).Scraper Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment scrapers (Required).Brand Knowledge: Expert working knowledge of Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, Hitachi, and similar heavy equipment manufacturers.CDL Requirement: Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record must be obtained prior to the employee’s start date. A CDL is a condition of employment and is not provided or paid for by State 48 Machinery.DOT Medical Card: Must possess and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate as required for the position.Tools: Must own and maintain the required master-level personal hand tools necessary to perform the position.MSHA Certification: Must be able to obtain and maintain required MSHA certification. State 48 Machinery will provide and pay for required MSHA training.Travel: Must be able to travel to customer locations throughout Arizona, including occasional overnight travel.Location & Residency RequirementWork Location: On the road (Field Service)Established Service Area: Apache Junction, Avondale, Buckeye, Carefree, Cave Creek, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Mesa, Paradise Valley, Peoria, Phoenix, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise, San Tan Valley, Tempe, and Tolleson. Out-of-Area Applicants: We welcome applicants residing outside the Valley. However, State 48 Machinery does not pay for travel time driven outside of our established Phoenix metro service area.Applicants must currently reside in Arizona and be legally authorized to work in the United States. State 48 Machinery does not offer employment visa sponsorship.
