The Heavy Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack materials and equipment in yards, warehouses, and work sites. Daily activities include inspecting forklifts and related equipment, performing basic maintenance checks, and reporting any faults or safety concerns. The role involves coordinating with shipping and receiving teams, assisting with packing and material handling, and ensuring accurate placement and movement of goods according to work orders. The operator is also expected to follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and support efficient workflow in a fast-paced operations environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Forklift Operation skills, including safe handling of heavy forklifts and adherence to load capacity and safety guidelines.Candidates should possess Shipping & Receiving skills to manage incoming and outgoing materials, verify documentation, and coordinate with logistics teams.Candidates should possess Unloading and Material Handling skills to move, stack, and store equipment and materials efficiently and safely.Candidates should possess Packing skills to secure and prepare materials and equipment for transport or storage, following company standards.Valid forklift operator license or certification, with experience operating heavy industrial forklifts.Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including PPE use and hazard awareness in yard and warehouse environments.Ability to read and follow work orders, basic inventory records, and handling instructions.Previous experience in equipment rental, construction, logistics, or industrial operations is an advantage.Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions and to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and moving materials.Strong reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
