Small class sizes, experienced educators, and diverse extracurricular programs in arts, sports, and summer activities support each learner’s full potential.Role Description The High School English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the school’s international curricula. Daily responsibilities include creating detailed lesson plans, facilitating class discussions, guiding reading and writing assignments, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, contribute to exam preparation for Pearson Edexcel assessments, and participate in school events and extracurricular activities that support student growth. Maintaining a classroom environment that is inclusive, respectful, and conducive to learning is essential. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Laureates International School in Tripoli.Qualifications Strong instructional skills in Teaching, English Teaching, and Lesson Planning, with experience in secondary-level English curricula.Excellent Communication and Writing abilities to model high-quality language use and provide clear feedback to students.Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification or licensure is preferred.Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively, support diverse learning needs, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.Experience with internationally recognized programs (e.g., Pearson Edexcel) and familiarity with student-centered, inquiry-based teaching methods.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, engage with families professionally, and contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities.Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement.
