High School Humanities Learning Coach

In addition to international and U.S. accreditations, iCademy Middle East is licensed by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority, reflecting strong educational standards and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily academic guidance and support to High School students within the Knowledge Hub. Monitor student progress, grades, course completion, deadlines and outstanding assignments. Provide targeted support in Humanities, History, Geography and Social Studies. Assist students with research, source analysis, critical thinking, academic reading, essay planning and evidence-based writing. Support students in understanding assignment instructions and assessment expectations without completing work on their behalf. Help students develop effective time-management, organization, study and independent learning skills. Identify students who are falling behind or require additional academic intervention and communicate concerns to the relevant staff. Work collaboratively with online teachers, Academic Advisors, other Learning Coaches, ELL and Inclusion/SEND teams. Support students with individual learning needs and implement appropriate accommodation and intervention strategies. Monitor student attendance, engagement, behavior and wellbeing while at the Hub. Maintain professional and constructive communication with parents regarding student progress and concerns. Follow all safeguarding, attendance, behavior and student wellbeing procedures and immediately report concerns through the appropriate channels. Promote academic integrity and the responsible use of AI and digital learning tools. Support the daily operation of the Knowledge Hub, including student supervision, assessments, orientations, activities and events. Contribute positively to a supportive, inclusive and collaborative High School environment. Role Requirements· Bachelor's Degree in Humanities, History, Geography, Social Studies· Valid teaching qualification / license · Minimum 5 years of experience teaching, tutoring or supporting High School students in Humanities, History, Geography, Social Studies.· Strong English communication and academic writing skills. · Experience working with students individually and in small groups· Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, other colleagues and school leadership· Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive environment· Adaptability and problem-solving skills to support diverse learning needs (ELL / SEND students)· Strong organizational and time-management skills· Proficiency with educational learning platforms, technology-enhanced instruction and Microsoft Office applications· Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools· Commitment to student-centered learning and professional development· Experience with an American curriculum
