Apply & track with Apply EdgeJOB PURPOSEThe HIS Trainer & Advisor is responsible for delivering end-user and administrator training on CodeZone's Hospital Information System (HIS) and clinical software modules, and for advising hospital and healthcare clients on the safe, effective, and compliant clinical use of the system. The role bridges clinical practice and software implementation, ensuring that physicians, nurses, and hospital staff can adopt the system confidently while clinical workflows, terminology, and patient-safety considerations are correctly reflected in training content and client advisory sessions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Design and deliver training programs (classroom, on-site, and virtual) for hospital staff — physicians, nursing staff, clinical coders, and administrators — on CodeZone's HIS and clinical modules (EMR, order entry, clinical documentation, pharmacy, lab, radiology interfaces, etc.).• Act as clinical advisor during pre-sales and implementation phases, translating clinical workflows into system configuration recommendations and validating that the software supports accurate clinical practice.• Develop and continuously update training materials, user manuals, quick-reference guides, and e-learning content in both Arabic and English.• Support HIS implementation and go-live activities at client hospitals, including workflow mapping, super-user coaching, and post-go-live support.• Advise clients on clinical data standards, medical terminology, coding practices, and patient-safety considerations relevant to system use.• Collaborate with the product and implementation teams to relay clinical feedback and ensure the system aligns with real-world clinical practice.• Support pre-sales activities, including client presentations, demos, and responses to clinical/functional queries in tenders (e.g., HMIS tenders).• Evaluate trainee competency post-training and provide feedback/reporting to CodeZone Academy management.• Stay current with healthcare regulations, clinical best practices, and updates to CodeZone's clinical software offering.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's Degree in Medicine (MBBCh / MD) is mandatory — a licensed medical doctor background is a strict requirement for this role.• Valid Egyptian Medical Syndicate registration preferred.• Prior clinical/hospital experience is highly preferred (residency or practicing experience in a hospital setting).• Experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS/EMR) as a user, super-user, or implementation/training resource is a strong advantage.SKILLS & COMPETENCIES• Strong understanding of hospital clinical workflows (inpatient, outpatient, emergency, pharmacy, lab, radiology).• Excellent presentation and training delivery skills, with the ability to simplify technical/system concepts for clinical audiences.• Fluency in Arabic and English, spoken and written.• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, comfortable engaging physicians, hospital management, and IT teams.• Comfortable with software applications and willing to develop functional/technical familiarity with HIS modules.• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client engagements and training schedules.• Willingness to travel to client sites within Egypt (and occasionally regionally) as needed.PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE• Prior experience in healthcare IT, HIS/EMR vendor, or hospital digital transformation projects.• Background or coursework in health informatics.• Experience creating training content or curricula for adult learners.Interesting candidates are welcome to send their updated resumes to:Career@codezone-eg.com
